This past week, CFDA launched its first photo contest, inviting members to submit photos showcasing how their funeral homes celebrated Day of the Dead. This vibrant celebration of life and remembrance holds deep cultural significance, and we are excited to share how some of our members beautifully captured the essence of this cherished tradition.
Below are the submissions we received, and we want to thank East Lawn Memorial Parks, Rose Hills Memorial Park, and Cherokee Memorial Park for participating.

Cherokee Memorial Park: Such a great turnout at #diadelosmuertos here at #CherokeeMemorial in #lodi! Thank you for being a part of the celebration!!
From East Lawn Memorial Parks: What an honor it was to celebrate Dia de los Muertos with our Sacramento community. @ernestodelgadohospitalitygroup started off our evening by speaking to the spirit of this sacred event. He remarked on how beautiful it was to see all the little children learning about this special day. Followed by traditional Aztec dancers, everyone in the room could feel the power of their dance. The ceremony ended with traditional ballet folkorico, we were all blown away by their talent. We are so grateful for all of the participants who made this evening so special. Thank you to the community for spending your evening with us. It was an honor to celebrate your ancestors with you & it continues to be our honor to care for your loved ones who have passed on.
