Consumer Guide to Funeral and Cemetery Purchases

On September 3, 2026, the Cemetery and Funeral Bureau announced the publishing of a new version of the Consumer Guide to Cemetery and Funeral Purchases.

 

Every California funeral establishment will be required to have the new edition of the Consumer Guide available to consumers beginning January 1, 2027. Existing inventory of the previous edition may continue to be used through December 31, 2026.

 

***Please note that all orders for the new edition placed through CFDA will be fulfilled once the new Consumer Guide is printed and in stock, which is expected to take approximately four - six weeks.

 

In the meantime, due to our existing inventory, CFDA is making the previous edition of the Consumer Guide available for purchase at a 50% discount for those who would like to use them through the remainder of 2026.
