CFDA Member Legal Consultation

CFDA is proud to announce a new partnership with Gurnee, Mason, Rushford, Bonotto, and Forestiere, one of California’s most respected law firms specializing in funeral, cemetery, and crematory business matters, to offer CFDA members 30 minutes of complimentary legal advice every quarter on matters relating to their business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for CFDA members, especially for independent funeral homes who may not have easy access to an attorney, to get guidance on legal matters that can potentially help avoid costly legal issues.

Disclaimer: Legal consultations must be related to Members’ funeral, cemetery or crematory businesses. While Gurnee Mason Rushford Bonotto & Forfestiere regularly provide services to clients on a wide range business and litigation issues in addition to those related to funerary matters, they do not and cannot provide services or advice pertaining to certain matters that are outside the firm’s scope of practice such as bankruptcy, criminal defense, family law, probate, estate planning, securities, or taxation.

If, during the screening process, a real or potential conflict of interest is discerned, the request for consultation will be declined. Furthermore, if during the course of a consultation it becomes evident that the Member seeking advice is in a position adverse to one of the firm‘s existing clients, the conversation will immediately end, and any further consultation will be declined.
