Participants will learn how compassion fatigue differs from burnout, recognize common symptoms, and examine how unmitigated stress and secondary traumatic stress affect the brain and body. The session also introduces the role of stress hormones and why proactive management is essential for long-term well-being.
May 21: Session 2 - Building Resilience in Funeral Service

Emphasis is placed on awareness, balance, and connection—along with practical ways to strengthen resilience within the realities of funeral service work.
June 25: Session 3 - Practical Strategies to Mitigate Compassion Fatigue

In this session, participants are introduced to a range of evidence-based strategies designed to help regulate stress, decontaminate the mind after difficult cases, and restore balance.
