Can I substitute the National Board Embalmer's exam for the state exam?
No. Legislation was introduced in 2000 that would have allowed that, however, the legislation was not passed.  CFDA does not know details about this legislative language being introduced again, so we suggest individuals take the state licensing exam if they need their license in the near future.
