Article I Recitals and Definitions

1. Name of Corporation. The name of this Corporation shall be the California Funeral Directors Association and shall be referred to herein as the "Corporation."
   
   
2. Corporation Is Nonprofit. This Corporation has been formed pursuant to the California Nonprofit Mutual Benefit Corporation Law as a nonprofit mutual benefit corporation.
   
   
3. Specific Purpose. The purpose of this Corporation is to engage in any lawful act or activity which benefits its funeral establishment members and for which a corporation may be organized under the California Nonprofit Mutual Benefit Corporation Law.
